There are a number of reasons that EduExcellence makes use of personality tests. In no particular order:
- The EduExcellence founder is an Educational Physchologist. She loves these tests!
- If we are going to be testing our learners, then we should be happy to be tested!
- It also helps us understand if potential staff can follow instructions and make use of technology. Yes, if the testing of the tests is a test!
- It’s fun. We should embrace the idea of learning and even more so the opportunity to learn about ourselves.
- We do not use the test results to see “if you pass”. But rather, we use the results for successful applicants to see how we, as management, can best manage our staff both as individuals and as a team.
- The test are free and the results are yours to use.
The Enneagram of Personality, or simply the Enneagram (from the Greek words ἐννέα [ennéa, meaning “nine”] and γράμμα [grámma, meaning something “written” or “drawn”]), is a description of the human psyche which is principally understood and taught as a typology of nine interconnected personality types. In business contexts, it is generally used as a typology to gain insights into workplace interpersonal-dynamics.
The above except was taken from Wikipedia. The full article can be found here.
The Enneagram Test that Eduexcellence uses is a Excel Spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is composed of 3 tabs:
Please download the Enneagram Test here and save it to your PC or Mac.
You are welcome to read the Introduction and then click on the ‘Click here to proceed’ box. This will take you to the 2nd tab.
The second tab is a list of 180 questions.Be SURE to scroll to the top of the spreadsheet before starting to answer the questions. The first question is in cell B4.
Once you have completed all the questions, click on the box that says “Click here once all the questions have been answered”. This will take you to the 3rd tab, results.
Here you can review your results. Please do NOT upload the entire spreadsheet in your application. Instead, save the final tab (the results tab) as a PDF. Different operating systems and versions of windows will do this in different ways. Typically your option is to Print the page and then select PDF as the option.
Once you have the PDF of your result, use that PDF in your final application.
