While specific agreements are entered into with learners, we are guided by our principles and core values. The EduExcellence principles of conduct for our learners and parents is based on and reflective of the our Values and Principles, and is intended to

  • create an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance
  • assist learners in building strength of character and a meaningful value system
  • encourage independent thought, to make informed decisions and to accept responsibility for and the consequences of these decisions
  • have a disciplinary approach that encourages self-discipline. The purpose of discipline is to change behaviour, appropriately and positively
  • •generate a happy and supportive environment that promotes the desire to be an integral part of EduExcellence
  • •encourage Learners to develop pride in themselves and in their school

  • I have faith – I believe in what I can not see ,my future
  • I am ethical –  I do the right things in the right way
  • I have courage – I can, even though it scares me
  • I have empathy – I love, even though it is sometimes hard
  • I am conscious – I am aware of what I do and why I do it
  • I am passionate – I will have fun
  • I am professional – I will always strive to do my best
  • I have a serving heart – I will help others
  • I am solutions orientated – I will think critically and try and find answers

Together we believe that:

  • We can do
  • We care why
  • We put character first
  • We are fellowship

As a Christian school we do subscribe the biblical worldview and guide for our interactions with each other. This is beautifully summarised in Matthew 5, often called the Beatitudes:

  • •Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 5:3)
  • •Blessed are those who mourn: for they will be comforted. (5:4)
  • •Blessed are the meek: for they will inherit the earth. (5:5)
  • •Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they will be filled. (5:6)
  • •Blessed are the merciful: for they will be shown mercy. (5:7)
  • •Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God. (5:8)
  • •Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called children of God. (5:9)
  • •Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (5:10)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. – Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)
